    I led the initial discovery and design of wireframes and mobile visual compositions, playing a key role in developing the app’s user experience. Additionally, I co-created the style guide and contributed to establishing the brand identity, ensuring a seamless and exclusive user experience for members.

    The challenge was to create a mobile experience that allows Crave Society members to explore a curated list of exclusive restaurants. The app needed to provide useful information that would enhance a member’s potential dining experience while creating a sense of exclusivity and trust. Additionally, the brand identity needed to reflect the premium, curated experience the society offers.

    We designed a mobile application with an associated brand identity that created a sense of exclusivity, desirability, and trust. Our design decisions focused on creating an easy-to-navigate user experience that guided members through their restaurant decision-making process.

Top

Research & discovery

We began the project with a discovery session with our client to clarify the goals. We conducted moodboard activities to define the visual style and established design principles for the app’s experience. Secondary research included reviewing existing restaurant reservation apps, fine dining trends, and inspiring experiences from other sectors.


Wireframing

The client prioritized a mobile-first approach. Our wireframes were focused on the following user flows:

  • Touring the restaurant space virtually

  • Viewing the restaurant’s history and story

  • Exploring menu details, including ingredients and preparation styles

  • Reserving a table with specific seating preferences (booth, bar, high-top)

  • Understanding the restaurant’s vibe, such as music, lighting, and atmosphere

  • Learning about the chefs and mixologists, including their culinary philosophy and techniques


design & development

Through user testing, we found that users were particularly drawn to the chef profiles and the ability to understand the restaurant's vibe before visiting. Feedback was implemented to make these sections more prominent, and we adjusted the flow to ensure that users could easily reserve a table after reviewing the restaurant’s details.

Working closely with the client throughout the design process allowed for a highly collaborative and iterative approach, ensuring that the final product met both user needs and brand expectations. This project helped me refine my skills in mobile UX/UI design, especially in visual consistency and brand storytelling within a digital experience.
